JOHN S. McCREARY
83, of Honolulu, passed away March 30, 2013. Born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on March 2, 1930, son of Harry Clay and Margaret Swan McCreary. He was Canon Organist Emeritus at St. Andrew's Cathedral in Honolulu, Hawai'i, and Organist and Choirmaster at 'Iolani School. His parents hoped that he would become president of the McCreary Tire and Rubber Company, but his passion was music. He spent almost 50 years making beautiful music in Hawai'i. He is survived by wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" McCreary; son, Kendall McCreary; daughter, Susan (Bryan) Duprey; grand- children, Jordan and Savannah McCreary; brother, Harry C. McCreary (Joan) of Florida; sister, Charlotte M. Culver of New York City. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at St. Andrew's Cathedral, 229 Queen Emma Square, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. A Gathering will begin at 10:00 a.m., and Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of John S.
