Manuel "Buddy" Martins Jr., 90, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a retired foreman at the former Margolis Garment Factory, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was also an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 4342nd Quartermaster Service Company and a Hawaii Army National Guard veteran who served with the 230th Engineer Company, 299th Regimental Combat Team. He was born in Honomu, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Dorothy, sons Gerald M. Sr. and Robert W., sister Mary Santos, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Monday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 7 p.m. Graveside committal services: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
