Paul Kern Hilburn, 81, of Honaunau, Hawaii, a retired school superintendent, principal and teacher, and an Army veteran, died. He was born in Kobe, Japan. He is survived by wife Mary Beth, sons Eric Hilburn and Greg Hooten, daughters Tove Mendez and Carlye Hooten, sister Mary Helen Kuehner, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
