Nancy Campbell Kwok
April 3, 1933 - April 25, 2013 NANCY CAMPBELL KWOK Was born in Wisconsin, her parents Rowland and Evelyn Campbell. She finished high school in Switzerland and France and graduated from Pembroke College, Brown University. At Brown she met her husband Daniel W. Y. Kwok, now Professor of History Emeritus at the University of Hawaii. A dedicated researcher, writer, librarian, and editor, Nancy worked at the Yale University Sterling Memorial Library, Punahou School, the Bishop Museum, and the Honolulu Academy of Arts. She also edited all of her husband's writings. In 1973 she wrote and published A Woman's Guide to American Football: or a Wide-eyed View of the Big Game (see the December 5, 1973 Honolulu Star-Bulletin). She leaves her husband of fifty-nine years, daughter Alison, son Theodore (wife Hueyduan), and grand- daughters Anne and Alisa. Sisters Jane de la Boutetiere and Susan Trimble live in France and Georgia respectively. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions made in memory of Nancy Kwok be to the Hawaii State Chapter Red Cross, 4155 Diamond Head Road, Honolulu, HI 96816; Hawaiian Humane Society, 2700 Waialae Ave Honolulu, HI 96826; or the Hawaii Council on the Humanities, 3599 Waialae Avenue, Room 25, Honolulu, HI 96816. Services will be private.
