William Cornelius Ryan, 82, of Kailua-Kona, a retired United Airlines passenger planner and a Navy veteran, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is survived by daughters Ellen Chappuies, Katherine Burck and June Strauch; brother Francis; sister Theresa; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Private services.
