77Bertha Kanani Hu Rivera, 76, of Kahaluu Mauka died in the Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Kailua-Kona. She is survived by sons Bernard Hu, Richard and Guy Rivera, and Bert Cordeiro; daughters Brenda Thomas, Bernice Jeminez, Amanda Fai-Fai, Glenda Rivera-Glaser, Gwendolyn Acasio, Anna Saxton and Tina Marie Ogoc; hanai sons Alfred Leberato, Donald Asoncion, and Herbert and Kenneth Rivera; hanai daughters Irene Luta and Carmen Silva; brothers Richardson and Delbert Smith, and Gordon Yaman; sister Adeline Lewi; 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Services: 2-5 p.m. Saturday at Halani Congregational Church, Kahaluu Mauka. Gathering to follow at Higashihara Park, bottom part.
