Vera Sadako Kaneshiro, 86, of Waipahu, a civil service secretary, died in Pali Momi Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by daughters Constance Chargualaf, Cynthia Provance, Evelyn Castaneda and Carla Stern; sisters Ethelyn Kaaihue, Barbara Takata and Hilda Thomas; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Wahiawa, Avocado Chapel, 538 Avocado St.
