74Ruth Shizue Furuta, 95, of Honolulu, a retired seamstress, died in Maunalani Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Kona. She is survived by son Gary S., daughter Karen A. Shiroma, brothers Goro and Shigeru Shiraishi, sisters Linda M. Oue and Carol M. Shiraishi, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Private services.
