71Joseph Kaleikapuokalani "Kapu" Poomaihealani Jr., 69, of Waianae, a retiree from Operators Engineers Union, Local 3, and the state Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, died in Ewa Beach. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Ellen K. "Pudge"; sons Lawrence Keamo and Joseph K. III, Paul G. and John Henry K. Poomaihealani; daughter Rose Ann L., brother Kalanina'ahienaena; sister Lyla A. Cahill; 28 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Monday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 7 p.m. Scattering of ashes: 10:30 a.m. June 22 at Pokai Bay, Waianae. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
