72Violet Lau Lai, 96, of Honolulu, a retired librarian, died in Honolulu. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Morris K., daughters Alma L. Ro and Barbara L. Bennett, brother Dr. Carl Lau, sisters Lily Ching and Marion Siu, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Kaimuki Christian Church, 1117 Koko Head Ave. No flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Kaimuki Christian Church or Waiokeola Congregational Church. Aloha attire.
