Hiroshi "Hank" Kushida, 83, of Hilo, a California state engineering department employee, a California Army National Guard sergeant and an Army reservist, died in Stanford, Calif. He was born in Papaikou, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Samiko "Sami," son Dr. Clete, brother Albert and sisters Sumiko Yaji and Akiko Oda. Services: 4 p.m. Saturday at Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. Casual attire. No flowers.
