Lucia and Ernesto Cadabes

Lucia, age 86 and Ernesto, age 88, 20 year residents of Las Vegas, NV passed away Sunday, Dec 9, 2012 and Saturday, Apr 27, 2013, respectively. Lucia was born Dec 6, 1926 in Aiea, HI to the late Fermin Siarot and the late Juanita Abapo (Padayhag) Siarot Jackson. Ernesto was born Jan 7, 1925 in Carigara Leyte PI to the late Bernardo and the late Andrea (Gunabe) Cadabes. Lucia was a supportive and loving wife to Ernesto in his endeavors for 65 years. Ernesto initially had a 5th grade education, enlisted in the US Navy in 1945 and served until 1967 through WWII, Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, all the while stationed at the Naval Station in Pearl Harbor, HI. Showing his children that education is important, even for people who had nothing, he earned his GED then went on to earn an Associate’s Degree. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for 25 years for the US Postal Service. Ernesto and Lucia are survived by their children Gwendolyn Dye and her husband Earle Jack, Jr (recently deceased) and their children: Earle Jack III and his wife Rogelie and their children, Kaipo and his wife Selena and their children, Beau and his wife Nikki and their children, and Andrea Dye-Tupe and her husband Dorian and their children; Ernie Jr. and his wife Marcia and his daughter, Amy Moore and her husband Jacob and their children; Ruben and his wife Susan and their sons: RJ, and Justin and his wife Maricel and their son; Enrique and his wife Gigi and their son, Jaime; son-in-law Daniel Pacleb and his children: Lesle Hilliker and her husband Stephen and their son, Brandon Machado and his wife Natasha and their son, Jesseca Machado, Siera-Shea Phillips and her husband Sean, Rachell, and Daniel-Zachary; Christine Correia and her husband Robert and their daughters: Cortne and her children and Cydne; Cesar Cadabes and his husband Hoa Su and their pups Chico, Pepe and Ann; and Angela Alpiche and her husband Jonathan and their children: Sean Raquepo, Jessica Grant and her son and Darryl and his daughter. Lucia is also survived by siblings, Loretta and Elaine and preceded in death by her brothers, Peter and Salvino (Bobby). Ernesto is survived by siblings Amalia, Andrea (Aning), Judith, Linda, Oscar and Philipe. They are also preceded in death by their daughter Carmen Pacleb, and their great granddaughter Robin Dye. The funeral was held at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services in Las Vegas, NV — she, on Dec 14, 2012 and he, on May 10, 2013. Interment will take place at 11:30 AM on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the National Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl in Honolulu, HI.
