Russell Lynn Smith Jr., 93, of Medford, Ore., former chief engineer for the City and County of Honolulu, materiel commander for the Hawaii Air National Guard and an Army Air Corps veteran, died in Medford. He was born in Santa Rosa, Calif. He is survived by wife Barbara, son Dale A., five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Graveside services: 11 a.m. July 5 at Oahu Cemetery. Downtown Aloha Friday attire. No flowers. Donations suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
