He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elsie Fumiko Maeda. He is survived by his sons, Deron Maeda and Bart (Kirsten) Maeda; grand- daughters, Karissa, Kortney, and Karolyn Maeda; siblings, Jane Oba, Fumio Maeda, Toshio (Margaret) Maeda, Yoshio Maeda, and Jennifer Kawamata; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
