KATHERINE TAHIRA YASUI Age 97, of Pearl City, HI, passed away May 24, 2013 in Pearl City. Born July 13, 1915 in Waipahu, Hawaii. She retired from the University of Hawaii Manoa's Sinclair Library as head of it's Circulation Department. Predeceased by her parents Yoshimatsu & Tsune Tahira and husband Edward Y. Yasui. She is survived by sons, Daniel (Esther Ueda) Yasui, Michael (Jacquelyn) Yasui; daughters, Patricia M. (Kryn) Teeuw of CA, Dianne N. (Howard) Ishida; sister, Nellie Oshige; 7 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren Visitation 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 10) at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel; Memorial Service 10:00 a.m. Burial 1:00 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park.
