NAN KATHLEEN MARN
Nan Kathleen Marn, 84, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2013. Visitation will be held on July 15, 2013 from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Star of the Sea Church. A funeral mass begins at 10:45 a.m. Nan was born in Buffalo, NY on July 18, 1928. Nan moved to Honolulu in 1959. Nan studied social work at UH and worked at Special Education Center of Oahu and as a social worker for the State of Hawaii. She enjoyed shopping, travel, spending time with family and friends, and playing slots in Las Vegas. Nan is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Murray, brothers Glen and Joseph Murray, and sister Francis Murray. Nan is survived by her husband of 51 years, Stephen Marn; daughter Carolyn Marn of Sacramento, CA; son Brian Marn of Altadena, CA; daughter Stephanie Marn; sister Jean Driscoll of Buffalo, NY; brother Lawrence Murray of Roseville, CA; cousin Karyl Gindling of Dallas, TX; cousin Gretchen Minney of Broomfield, CO; and ten nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Aloha Chapter, 1050 Ala Moana Blvd., Ste. 2610, Hon. HI 96814.
