Jerry Hiroyuki Nunogawa, 72, of Hilo, a city civil engineer, state environmental engineer in Hilo, retired U.S. Public Health Service captain and an Army veteran, died in Castle Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Rosemary “Rose,†sons Matthew “Matt†and Nicholas “Nic,†brothers James and Joe, sister Karen Sakata and two grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Kailua. Mass: 11 a.m. Committal services: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual attire.
