81Thomas A. Gaucher, 85, of Kapaa, Kauai, a scientist, died in Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital. He was born in Willimantic, Conn. He is survived by son Norman, daughters Daniele E. and Lorraine, brothers Harry S. Jr. and Philippe, sister Jacqueline Goettlich, stepsister Gail Bryne and four grandchildren. Private services.
