Juan John Fernandez, 71, of Halaula, Hawaii, a self-employed tax preparer, retired certified hotel administrator and an Army veteran, died in Kohala Hospital. He was born in Captain Cook, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Polly F.; daughters Pamela Taylor, Lori Yanagi, Trixy Grace, Leilani Glodek, Venissa Ah Sam, Rowena Lloyd and Daniela Araki; brother Narcisco "Nasi"; sisters Fely Padilla, Rose Rasay, Ruth Aguiar and Trini "Dolly" Baybayan; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at the mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
