Joseph Kainakuawalu "Duke" Kauhaihao Sr., 81, of Captain Cook, Hawaii, a heavy-equipment operator at J.M. Tanaka and Isemoto Construction Co., and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Joseph Jr. and Randy; daughters Melani Kauhaihao-Murillo, Jonnie K. Flores and Trina Kauhaihao; sisters Margaret Guillermo and Emily Kauhaihao; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Saturday at Lanakila Congregational Church, Kainaliu, Hawaii. Services: 9 a.m. Casual attire.
