Tokusuke "Toku" Kutaka, 83, of Wailua Homesteads, Kauai, a retiree of Kauai County and the Army, died at home. He was born in Wailua Homesteads. He is survived by wife Loretta; stepsons William Lopes, and John and Dorin Kaauwai; stepdaughters Betty Jane Contrades and Brenda Viado; sister Haruko Awakuni; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Aug. 17 at the family residence.
