Willard Zenei Akamine, 91, of Honolulu, a retired Safeway Manoa store manager and an Army Military Intelligence Service veteran who served in World War II, died in Pearl City Nursing Home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife May F., son Dan, daughters Jane Ching and Marian Uyehara, brother John, sister Nancy and three grandchildren. Private services.
