Robert Hung Chew Au

ROBERT H.C. AU Robert H.C. Au, age 86, of Honolulu, passed away August 20, 2013 at St. Francis Hospice from leukemia. Known by his family as “Bob” and to friends as “Bobby,” he graduated from St. Louis High School in 1946 and UH Manoa in 1950. He spent 41 years at First Hawaiian Bank (FHB), retiring as Sr. Vice President and Sr. Credit Officer in 1992. A Charter Member of the Ala Moana Lions Club, he belonged to the FHB Bowling League, Doyo Golf Club, Mid-Pacific Country Club and Nishihara Cho-Jin Kai Okinawan Club. Many thanks to the physicians, nurses and staff who cared for him at Queen’s Medical Center and St. Francis Hospices West and Nu’uanu. A special mahalo to all who came to visit Bob during his illness and who supported his family with such love and generosity. He is survived by his wife Kiyono; daughter Michelle; son Glenn; sister Lily Yuen; nephews Ronald (Pamela) Yuen and Dennis (Charlotte) Yuen; niece Gwendolyn (Kenneth) Nishimura; niece-in- law Leonora Yuen; 6 grand- nephews; 5 grand-nieces; 2 great-grand-nephews; 1 great- grand-niece; loving Higa in- laws and dear friends. Visitation: 5pm, Tues, Sept 10, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Celebration of Life: 6pm. Aloha attire. No flowers.
