STANLEY TARIHO HIROZAWA Stanley Tariho Hirozawa, 89, of Novi, Michigan, died on August 4, 2013. He was born in 1924 in ‘Ele’ele, Kaua’i. Following his military service in the U.S. Army and completion of his doctoral dissertation in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin, he had a long and fulfilling career as a research scientist at the BASF Corporation in Wyandotte, Michigan. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Hirozawa; children, Kent Hirozawa, Faye Carey and Anne Hirozawa; siblings, Charlotte Takishima, Doris Ishida, Henry Hirozawa, Florence Kubota, Janet Nitahara and Lois Oshiro; and five grandchildren, Nora, Miles, John-Henry, Miho and Aya. A memorial gathering will be arranged at a future time.
