Jose "Joe" Pagala Sr., 88, of Kekaha, Kauai, a retired Kekaha Sugar Co. service truck driver and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital. He was born in Waimea, Kauai. He is survived by wife Adela; sons Fred and Danny Patricio, and Shelben, Michael, Jose Jr., Lester and Brandon Pagala; daughters Vicky Dias and Esther Pagala; sister Fermina Bungcayao; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6-9 p.m. Friday at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary, Koloa. Additional visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Kekaha, Kauai. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial: 3 p.m. at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe. Casual attire.
