William Sherwood "Bud" Loeffler Jr., 82, of Hilo, a retired police officer and former County of Hawaii liquor inspector and Army veteran who served in the KoreanWar, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by sons William "Buddy,"Lee and Daniel Loeffler; daughter Kathi Turner; brother Kenneth; sisters Leatrice Mahuna and Edna Mendonca; and numerous grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Casual attire.
