CHARLES ARMISTEAD REEVES II

Posted On October 2nd, 2013 -

10-2 563453 Charles Reeves IICHARLES ARMISTEAD REEVES II CHARLIE BOY APRIL 26, 1930 – SEPTEMBER 11, 2013 He was born to William “Billy” and Henrietta “Bessie” Reeves in 1930. He had many happy memories growing up with his sisters, cousins, aunties, uncles and many many others in Kuli`ou’ou Valley. They climbed the mango trees and enjoyed the life of the country when it was country. In 1949 he married Lois Benson of Kapahulu. It is amazing to see God’s hand in their marriage by how much they loved each other. Our mother called him “Rip”, we knew him as Dad, Papa and Greatpapa. To everyone else he was Charlie Boy or Uncle Charlie Boy. He was a hard worker which is a value he passed on to each of us by his example. He was a man of strong convictions and did his very best in all his endeavors. His passions were his love for God, his love for his family and friends, and his love for the ocean. As a young man he surfed on the south shore: Portlock, Sandy and Makapu`u. He also collected shells and salt water fish; dove for black and pink coral; made, laid and threw net; trapped lobster and crab, trolled the open waters for ‘Big Fish” and made his own lures. He is survived by: Sister; Billie Banderman. Children; Charles A. Reeves III (Coleen), Renette C. Parker (Alvin), Roger B. Reeves (Diane), Stramer F. Reeves (Bianca). Grandchildren: Charles A. Reeves IV (Misty), Karen Keolani Alejado (Aaron), Joseph Reeves, Tatiana Reeves, Lorenzo Reeves, Great grandchildren: Parker & Emma Alejado and Kale & Ellie Ann Reeves. We want to thank all of the Correa, Leslie, Benson & Reeves `Ohana, and friends for their love, support and prayers during this time. We are truly blessed to have so much love in our lives because you loved our dad. Funeral Friday at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea Chapel; Viewing begins at 9, Service 11am Burial at Hawaiian Memorial Park, Kane`ohe begins at 1pm
