Josephine Kuuleialoha Amaral
Sept. 23, 2013 Josephine Kuuleialoha Amaral, also known as "Masing" and "Jodie," 79, of Halaula, Hawaii, a retired Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows seamstress, died at home. She was born in Waipio Valley, Hawaii. She is survived by sons Ray and Louis Arraujo Sr., and Abel Amaral; daughters Sharrie and Shirley Ann Arraujo, Dearie Nordlof and Leah Demaya; brother John Ventura; sisters Antonia Balicanta, Priscilla Hetrick, Carmen Green and Margaret Lepolo; hanai brothers Jacob Batalona, and Rizal, Ernest, Martin and Kia Fronda; hanai sisters Gloria Muraki, Emily Fronda, Maile Baird, Marie Kellner and Eileen Juraldo; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Visitation: 8 a.m. Oct. 19 at Sacred Heart Church, Hawi. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow.
