KIKUE SHIMABUKURO Age 93, of Wahiawa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Born in North Kohala, Hawaii, she retired as a guidance counselor for the State of Hawaii Department of Education Aiea Complex. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Yoshiaki Shimabukuro, she is survived by her son, Lloyd Y. Shimabukuro; daughters, Claire A. (Mark Merlin) Shimabukuro and Ann K. (Matthew "Macky") Catania; grandchildren, Giuseppe (Sabrina Canfield) and Kiku Catania; a great-grandson Makaio Catania; brother, Toshio (Ryoko) Shimabukuro and sister, Shizue Palmer; sister-in-law, Betty Shimabukuro; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation from 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; a service of celebration at 2:00 p.m. No flowers. Casual attire.
