71Santos Carnate, 84, of Kaumakani, Kauai, a retired Gay & Robinson seed processor, died at home. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Lucrecia; sons Ruben and Rey; daughters Renie Parayno, Sally Andres, Rowena Sibuma, Rhoda Soriano and Rebecca Rodriques; brother Apolonio; sister Lorenza; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary, Koloa. Additional visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Church, Kalaheo, Kauai. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.
