ROBERT BOB SYPOWICZ Robert "Bob" Sypowicz, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home on October 9, 2013 in Honolulu, HI, surrounded by friends and family, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rochelle Sypowicz; his son Russell Sypowicz (Angela Sypowicz); and grandson Noah Sypowicz. Robert was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 21, 1948. Upon moving to Hawaii in 1986, he started a successful accounting and bookkeeping business where he enjoyed helping his clients, many of which became close friends. He volunteered his time and talent at Sacred Heart Church for the past 25 years, serving on the Pastoral Council and as a bookkeeper, usher, CCD teacher, and choir member. His love of music extended to his participation with his friends in the Sounds of Aloha Barbershop Chorus. A memorial service is scheduled for friends and family on Thursday, October 17 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in Makiki (Maryknoll Grade School). His family graciously requests that donations be made to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research in lieu of flowers or gifts.
