Trinidad Dana "Trini" Banquel, 79, of Kapaa, formerly of Hanamaulu, Kauai, a retired nurse's aide at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital, died at home. She was born in Hanamaulu. She is survived by husband Lorencio "Larry"; sons Darrell, David, John, Terence and Alvin "Ali" Planas; daughters Clarissa Valdez and Karen Rita; stepsons Lorencio "Larry" Jr. and Lionel; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. at Kauai Veterans Cemetery. Inurnment to follow. CasÂual attire.
