Timothy Kapua Gapero, 60, of Wailuku, a retired Maui Police Department lieutenant and an Air Force veteran, died in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Mary Jane; sons Ka'ulu and Kuiokalani Gapero, and Benjamin Johnson; brothers Pete, James and Kawika; sisters Sharon Darapiza and Raynette Inouye; and four grandchildren.
