71High Chief Savusa Tauileva Amate, 84, of Ewa Beach, a retired American Samoa government district governor, died in Kailua. He was born in Fagasa, American Samoa. He is survived by wife Lola "Tosi"; sons Tauileva Savusa Jr. Malaefono, Saifoloi Saifoloi Jr., Laupepa Letuli and John, Edwin and Seiuli Jungblut; daughters Esther Savusa-Savini, Logola Mariota, Sailine Savusa, Dr. Nafanua Braginsky, Honorable Alaileula Tuku'aho and Tofilau Jungblut; brothers Soma Savusa and Makeni and Imo Alo; sisters Fa'auila Logoai, Logola Totemese and Mele Lachowski; 25 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Celebration of life and graveside services in Nu'uuli, American Samoa.
