72Oliver J. “Ollie” Amend, 85, of Hilo, a construction worker, former city council member in Seward, Alaska, and Alaska Mutual Bank employee, died at home. He was born in Seward. He is survived by wife Cecelia, son Oliver Jr., daughter Nancy, 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Christian Fellowship, Hilo. Celebration of life: 11 a.m.
