74Tomie Yamashita Tanaka, 86, of Aiea, a retired state Department of Education teacher at Alvah A. Scott Elementary School, died in Wilmette, Ill. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by son Ryan, daughters Pauline Velasco and Joyce Sakamoto, brother Benjamin, sisters Ayako Yamashita and Fusae Kiyokaya, and two grandchildren. No services.
