Kelby Kanani Pung, 59, of Makuu, Hawaii, a heavy equipment mechanic and a veteran of the Navy construction battalions or Seabees, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Donna; son Elldan K.; hanai daughters Lahilahi Kanakanui and Puaolena Ke; father Joseph; brothers Fierry, Darcy, Richard, Sammie and Rory D.; and sister Carmela Boteilho. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Friday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
