11-5 573252  Eleanor Takeya IngCelebrating the life of Eleanor Takeya Ing, born in Honolulu on September 22, 1930 to Takao and Masako Ozawa. Mrs. Ing passed away on October 2, 2013 at the home she shared with her beloved husband of 60 years, Melvin Ing. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, she flew for Hawaiian Air as a stewardess, and later moved with her husband to Moanalua Gardens where they raised their family of six children. Vivacious, stylish, beautiful, and compassionate, she was a devoted wife, beloved sister, loving mother, and proud grandmother of twelve. She left a lasting impression with people she met, and will forever live in the hearts and memories of those who have known and loved her. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ing is survived by her sons Steven (Lani) Ing and Arnold (Joanne) Ing, and daughters Carol (Bruce) Leonard, Joy Lorick, Lianne (Lee) Reich, and Lisa (David) Woolsey. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Michael, Rachael, Carli, Terrance, Nicole, Kim, Alexa, Allison, Eason, Ethan, Ian, and Kiyomi; as well as her nieces and nephew, lifelong friends, and devoted caregivers. The family will receive guests at Moanalua Gardens Missionary Church during visitation on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., with the memorial service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Hawaiian Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. Online condolences may be shared at www.hawaiianmemorialparkmortuary.com.
