82Shirley Catherine Slaughter Helms, 89, of Waimea, Hawaii, formerly of Hilo, a homemaker, died at home. She was born in Denver. She is survived by son Michael, daughters Patricia Kimball and Carol Case, brother Charles Slaughter, sister Jane Slaughter, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
