72Damien "Pops" Pua Sr., 71, of Kahului, a journeyman painter and state Department of Accounting and General Services retiree, died in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Hana, Maui. He is survived by sons Damien Jr., Thomas and Akahi A.; daughter Donnelle U.; hanai son Jason; brothers Ernest, Patrick, Chester, Richard and Larry; sisters Bernice Santos and Caroline Mailou; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
