Dr. Rodman B. “Rod” Miller, 88, of Volcano, Hawaii, a retired family physician, founder of Haleiwa Family Medical Center and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Hilo. He was born in South Carolina. He is survived by daughters Antya Miller and Lisa Simmerman, brother Dr. Julian C. Jr., five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Private services. Graveside urn committal services: 2 p.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Hilo Medical Center Foundation, Hospice of Hilo or the Cooper Center.
