72John Valdez Padilla, 47, of Mountain View, Hawaii, a state Highways Division employee and journeyman carpenter, died in Houston. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Jodie; sons Keoni and Joshua; daughter Sophie Lara; brothers Dominador, Ruben, Juan and Romeo; sisters Rudilia Agpoon, Elvira Uy, Josefina Padilla and Arcadia Kuahuia; and a grandchild. Visitation: 3 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
