RODMAN B. ROD MILLER, SR. MD. “Rodman B. “Rod” Miller, Sr. M.D. (corrected) Long time North Shore resident died in Hilo at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans’ Home. He was born in 1924 in Orangeburg, South Carolina and was 88 years old. A WWII vet and retired family physician, he practiced medicine on the North Shore for nearly 40 years and founded Haleiwa Family Medical Center. He is survived by daughters Antya Miller (Boyd Ready) and Lisa Simmerman (Ralph); brother Dr. Julian Creighton Miller, Jr. (Jeannie); five grand- children, and four great-grand- children and brother-in-law Joseph Coyle (Pat). He was preceded in death by wife Anna and sons Scott and Rod Miller, Jr. Memorial service is Thursday, November 14th, 5pm visitation, 6pm service at Waialua United Church of Christ. Aloha attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Haleiwa Main Street dba North Shore Chamber of Commerce, Wahiawa General Hospital, Waialua United Church of Christ or nonprofit of your choice.
