He was born on April 2, 1922 in Waihole, Hawaii. He was the retired owner of Naka’s Meat Market located in Oahu Market. Naka was a member of Ishikawa Shijin Kai and was in the 442ndInfantry Regiment, Company L. He is survived by 6 children: Bella Yamashita, Fay (Calvin) Jitchaku, Jay (Janice) Nakandakare, Sandra (Paul) Tamashiro, Kathy (Gregory) McKenna and Bert Nakandakare; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. The primary caregivers for the last four years were Essie, Dino, Daniel Felarca and family. The Nakandakare family wishes to acknowledge them as they have become part of our family. Thank you, Dad, for your sacrifices and all your years of hard work to support our large family. We will always remember the lessons taught to us about honesty, loyalty, perseverance, and the importance of family and friends. SUE CHAPMAN TURNER 74, of Manchester, GA died Friday, December 6th. Memorial services were December 11, 2013. Sue was born October 20, 1939. Married to Army officer Ronald Dean Turner, Sr. in 1964, they spent most of his career stationed around the world while raising their children, Suzanne and Jay. When Ron retired in Hawaii they became real estate agents, and together they owned and operated Century 21 Homefinders of Hawaii for 15 years. Sue returned home to Manchester with Ron in 1994 and remained active in the community until she passed.
