73Tana Hecht Basa, 73, of Hilo, a retired registered nurse, former director of nursing at Kau Hospital and an employee at Hilo Medical Center's medical records department, died in the Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Berlin. She is survived by husband Juanito, daughters Kari Gali and Eliza Talavera, sister Erika Mendelsohn and five grandchildren. Graveside services at noon Friday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to American Cancer Society.
