Harry "G Boy" Makalena Sr., 84, of Waimanalo, a retired Lewers & Cooke heavy equipment operator, a Marine Corps veteran who served in the KoreanWar and a Purple Heart recipient, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Cyrilla K., son Harry N. Jr., daughters Holly K. Makalena and Renee W. Koa, brother Gary "Gabby," nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. Dec. 27 at Diamond Head Mortuary. Services: noon. Graveside services: 2:15 p.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Aloha attire.
