ALEXANDER "ALIKA" PELAHIO ORIAN
ALEXANDER ALIKA PELAHIO ORIAN 79, entered into rest Saturday, December 21, 2013 in Manteca, California. He was born on January 8, 1934 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Alex leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years Dolores Orian of Waipahu, Hawaii. He is predeceased in death by his parents, Pelahio and Lei Orian and his brothers Michael Orian, Lester Ross, and Wilfred Ho Jr. Alex has three surviving children, Ryan Orian (Darlene) of Fresno, CA, David Orian (Heidi) of Tracy, CA and Paul Orian (Michelle) of American Canyon, CA. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Malia, Maile, Chelsea, Brandon and Samuel Alika. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Fredrick Orian, Albert Orian, Pauline Orian, Herbert Aina Kamakaeaina Jr., Miulan P. Nihipali (Gerald), Hazel Rose Kea (William), Blossom Peahi Fernandez, Loretta P. AhSam (Ralph), Dora Pascua, and Winifred H. Lee (Wendel). Alex was a resident of Waipahu, HI. He was previously of Rodeo, CA. Alex served his country proudly through the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He then went on to become an aircraft maintenance mechanic for United Airlines and Transamerica Airlines. He loved playing tennis, singing, playing his ukulele, and fishing. Alex was an active member of the Kamehameha Glee Club and was always so proud of speaking Hawaiian language. He loved his family dearly and was able to come to California to see them one last time, which was a true blessing. He will be remembered for his loving spirit and zest for live. He will be missed. The Alex's memorial service will be held at the Community of Christ Church, 1666 Mottsmith Drive, Honolulu, HI 96822 on Saturday, January 18 at 10AM. Alex's final resting place will be at the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery.
