HANNA Was born September 8, 1924 in Foxboro, Massachusetts and passed away peacefully at home on December 25, 2013 in Huntington Beach, CA at the age of 89 after a 10-year battle with prostate cancer. He was always interested in electricity. After graduating from Foxboro High School he went on to learn assembly, calibration and repair of industrial instruments at Foxboro Company in 1943. He then traveled West in 1943 by train and troop ship to Pearl Harbor which was then a Territory of Hawaii to work as an Instrument Technician at Pearl Harbor Navy Yard. He met the love of his life Alice Akimi Nakako in 1946 and were married in Honolulu at Church of Crossroads in 1948. In 1955, he moved his family to California. He went on to work at Aerospace Corporation on spacecraft instrumentation leading to the Space Shuttle, Rockwell on the first GPS satellite; Disneyland and retired from Rockwell in 1988 after helping launch several GPS satellites, and Disneyland from 1972 until 2004. He is survived by his son James B. Hanna and his wife Colleen, daughter Lisa Hanna and her son Cris, and daughter Ren Hanami. A private celebration of his life will be held at his home on January 26.
