LEONARD YUKIO ITO Mr. Leonard Yukio Ito, age 64, of Powder Springs, GA, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 18th in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Jimmy Driscoll officiating. Mr. Ito was a Vietnam Conflict Era U. S. Marine Corps veteran and was awarded two Purple Hearts. He later served in the U. S. Army Reserves. Mr. Ito retired from Civil Service as a pipe fitter. Mr. Ito is survived by his wife Carolyn Ito of Powder Springs, GA; sons & daughter-in-law, Tim Ito of Hiram, GA, Rocky & Lesa Ann Casteel of Acworth, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Lydia Casteel-Phillips & Bart Phillips of Powder Springs, GA, Cherie & Richard Mellick of Dallas, GA; brothers, Glenn Ito of Alabama, Melvin Ito of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Esther Ito of Kaneohe, Hawaii; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 18th at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta (770) 424-4924.
