EDWARD TARO UCHIHARA, UCHI Edward Taro Uchihara, "Uchi," 85, of Honolulu, retired sheet metal superintendent for Commercial Sheetmetal Co. and retired inspector for the Hawaii Department of Accounting and General Services, passed away on January 12, 2014 at home. He was born in Makawao, Maui and was an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Katherine M.; sons, Eric (Cheryl) and Glen (Sara); daughters, Carolyn Kurihara (Don), Iris Oda (Raymond), Lori Lapinid (Wayne), and Sharon Uchihara; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Service at 12:00 noon. Casual attire. No flowers.
